Talk:National University of Ireland, Dublin

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This article has to be moved to "University College Dublin". UCD is the common title and the one the university uses itself. The message box can be fixed to accomodate this.

The names of UCC and UCD are definitely a problem - after they requested the NUI Senate to change their names to the current official ones the NUI expressed some concern at the exclusive use of "University College" as the name and the ommission of "National University of Ireland" with regard to UCC/UCD. Wikipedia is not a mouth organ for the NUI but its worth considering - definitely the official names are too long for ordinary passages, but acceptable for the article name with redirect?
