Nathaniel Tarn was born and bred in Britain. He may be in "American Poetry since 1950: Innovators and Outsiders", but in American terms he is clearly an outsider. --Poetlister 13:48, 27 July 2006 (UTC)

OK, I've incorporated the material that the other editor wanted. I hope that's it.--Poetlister 17:58, 3 November 2006 (UTC)

While Tarn was born in Paris (not England) he has become an American citizen--indeed, did so decades ago. It raises the questions of what counts as "outsider" in terms of American. Certainly his aesthetic is closer to American poetics than English. In any event, Tarn himsef disavows being seen as connected to being English and he himself maintains that his connection to The Group was tangential at best. The entry seems focused on that.
