Natrix

Natrix is a genus of colubrid snakes. There are between 65 and 80 species in the genus. They are collectively called grass snakes and water snakes, but some snake species known as "grass snakes" and "water snakes" are not of genus Natrix.
Species include:
- Natrix flavifrons
- Natrix maura - viperine water snake
- Natrix megalocephala - bighead European water snake
- Natrix natrix - grass snake
- Natrix tessellata - dice snake
