National mosque

In some Muslim countries, there may be a national mosque usually in the capital city. These include:
- Baitul Mukarram in Dhaka, Bangladesh
- Istiqlal Mosque in Jakarta, Indonesia
- Masjid Negara in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
- Masjid Jamek in Kuala Lumpur, was the former national mosque of Malaysia
- Faisal Mosque in Islamabad, Pakistan
- Quba Mosque in Medina, Saudi Arabia
