The National University Of Ireland, Galway, (NUIG) branch of Young Fine Gael is based in NUI Galway. It currently has over 250 members, most of whom would have registered during one of the annual NUIG Clubs and Societies Days. The branch is the central organisational branch for Galway city and county. The membership is drawn from all over the country and most are also members of local YFG branches.
The activities of the branch include workshops, fundraising and canvassing. With an upcoming general election, the branch has been working closely with Fine Gael's Dáil candidates in Galway West.

[edit] Structure
The structure of the branch normally includes the positions of chair, vice-chair, secretary, treasurer, pro, social secretary, membership officer, events and campaigns officer. These are elected positions determined by the membership through secret ballot at an agm. Other committee appointments are usually co-opted by the chair at his/her discretion.

Young Fine Gael branches usually make nominations to the national executive elections of the organisation. These appointments are decided at national conference by the delegates in attendance about every eighteen months. The NUIG branch of Young Fine Gael currently has three members sitting on the YFG national executive. Sean Finan, Keith Stephens and Michelle Perry.
