National Taiwan Normal University

National Taiwan Normal University (Traditional Chinese: 國立台灣師範大學; pinyin: guó lì shī fàn dà xué; Wade-Giles: kuó lì shīh fàn tà hsüēh) is a large university in downtown Taipei, and is also one of the teacher's colleges in Republic of China (Taiwan).
It is the home of the Center for Chinese Language and Cultural Studies, one of the oldest and most renowned Chinese language schools in Taiwan. Formerly known as the Mandarin Training Center, it is one of the most famous and prestigious Chinese language schools in Taiwan.
National Taiwan Normal University is the site of the 2005 International Chemistry Olympiad.
It hosts the Overseas Compatriot Affairs Commission (OCAC) 6-week language study program for four terms per year. It combines mandarin study, cultural activities as well as field trips to various sites of interest. Towards the end of six week study tour, there is a three day graduation trip for those students who have behaved during the program. This is usually requires students to have sufficient points according to a points system designed to regulate the behaviour of students whilst participating in the program.
In 2006, National Taiwan Normal University has merged with University Preparatory School for Overseas Chinese Students.
