The National Stakes is a Group 1 flat horse race in the Republic of Ireland for two-year-old thoroughbred colts and fillies run over a distance of 7 furlongs (1,408 metres) at the Curragh in September.
It has been run as a Group 1 since 1985. The distance was increased to 1 mile (1,609 metres) in 1997, but was reverted to 7 furlongs in 2000. The race is frequently won by subsequent English and Irish classic winners.
