Nacionālā Spēka Savienība (National Power Union, abbreviated NSS; the party translates its name as National Power Unity, sometimes it is also translated as Union of National Force) is a far-right nationalist political party in Latvia. It is a member of the European National Front.
It was founded in 2003 by Aigars Prusis and Viktors Birze on the base of the human rights group Helsinki-86.
In the 2005 municipal elections to the Liepāja city council, the NSS received 400 votes, or 1.86% of the total, and no seats.
The current chairman of the NSS, Viktors Birze, has threatened that the group's planned protest against the gay pride parade scheduled to take place in Riga on July 22, 2006, will not be limited to non-violent methods.
Citing this and other threats, on July 19 the Latvian capital's authorities denied permission for the gay pride parade; the organizers of the event intend to appeal the decision to the Riga administrative court. On July 21, the court rejected the appeal and left the ban on the parade in place.
