National Law Institute University

National Law Institute University (NLIU), Bhopal was established in 1998 by an enactment of the State Legislature of Madhya Pradesh. Recognised by the Bar Council of India, the university admits only 80 undergraduates each year who must complete 15 rigorous trimesters before being awarded a combined B.A., LL.B (Hons.) degree. Currently ranked third by the recent India Today rankings of law colleges in the country, NLIU was modeled on the lines of the earlier established National Law School of India University at Bangalore. The patron of the university is the Chief Justice of India and the university works closely with the High Court of Madhya Pradesh as well as the neighbouring National Judicial Academy. == Headline text Placement

The University 'boasts' of a 100% placement, with students working in top law firms like Amarchand Mangaldas,Khaitan and company,Juriscorp and in MNCs like ICICI. Many of the students are also working in the field of litigation in Supreme court and High courts. Some of them have joined NGOs like CHRI and RLEK.Few of the alumnis are working in International Newspapers or pursuing LLM in France,Singapore and London.

The University which is situated in a place called Kerwa, a scenic beauty is regarded as a heaven by the students due to the easy going atmosphere which is very different from the other Law colleges. ==
