National Emerging Infectious Diseases Labratory
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratory or NEIDL, is part of a national network of secure facilities that study infectious diseases - whether they occur naturally or are introduced through bioterrorism. The Labs will include a BSL-4 Laboratory.
Funded by one of the largest single NIH grants ever awarded, one NEIDL facility is, as of 2007, under construction at Boston University in Boston, MA. It is scheduled to receive its first occupants in 2008.
