The National Catholic Register is the oldest national Roman Catholic newspaper in the United States.

The National Catholic Register began in 1927 and is a weekly paper. The newspaper follows the Catholic teaching on such subjects such as abortion, homosexual marriage, embryonic stem-cell research, cloning, and in-vetro fertilization. It also covers issues such as poverty and the death penalty.
