National Association of Independent Schools

The National Association of Independent Schools is a U.S.-based organization for independent schools. In 2005 it had a membership of some 1,200 U.S. independent schools, including day, boarding, and day/boarding schools; elementary and secondary schools; boys', girls', and coeducational schools, comprising 473,000 students and 50,000 instructors and administrations. 91 of the schools are in countries other than the USA.
