National Assembly Against Racism

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The National Assembly Against Racism (NAAR) is a British anti-racist and anti-fascist group largely organised around trade unions and ethnic minority groups. It is now a constituent of Unite Against Fascism of which NAAR member Sabbi Dhalu is co-chair. Strongly supported by Socialist Action, prominent figures in the organisation include Lee Jasper. The organisation is associated with the Labour Party Black Sections movement and grew out of a break in the Anti-Racist Alliance. Its position is generally that the anti-racist movement should be black-led.
