From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Begun as Private Jet Expeditions with one 727-100 this scheduled charter operation quickly became Americas premier Charter company, having at one point 16 MD-80's and 3 727's.Actually the first charter operator to receive brand new aircraft from the McDonald Douglas factory, This company operated numerous scheduled charters from large US cities to tourist destinations throughout the Mexican Riviera, Cancun and Las Vegas. Eastcoast routes from Boston to the Caribbean also were popular. Doc Holiday as CEO and Greer Parramore as DO helped shape the carrier in the early years. The downfall came when the airline bought the National Airlines name and decided to break into the scheduled market with a hub based in Atlanta, to destinations such as Cancun,Las Vegas, Chicago Midway, New York LaGuardia, Miami and San Juan and St. Louis. This along with a buyout by Miguel Ordonez and a Spanish group who owned another Airline in Mexico- Oasis Airline's as well as Hotels in Cancun. Basically operating the airline into the ground and not returning any of the assets to the operation. The Spanish owners disappeared leaving angry creditors and employees as the doors closed in March of 1995.
