Nation is a nightclub in Liverpool, England. The Cream-owned Nation complex is made up of 3 separate rooms, each of varying shape and size; the 1000 capacity Main room, 700 capacity Annexe and 1300 capacity Courtyard.

The world famous Cream nightclub began life as a weekly house music night at Nation on October 17, 1992.

Nation was originally called The Merseyside Academy and was opened primarily to server the Liverpool student market, and as a concert venue. The club never gained popularity as a concert venue due to the strange layout of the main hall, which is due to a large WW2 fuel container under the raised section of the main hall, which has been filled with concrete.
