Nation's Giant Hamburgers
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Nation's Giant Hamburgers is a chain of fast food restaurants in the San Francisco Bay Area. There are currently 24 locations located throughout the Bay Area, as far as Tracy and Vacaville. [1]
Russ Harvey opened the original location in San Pablo in early 1948 as a six-stool stand. At the time the name was Harvey's Giant Hamburgers. A second restaurant was opened in 1970 in Jack London Square by Dale Power who was one of Harvey's original in employees. Dale called this restaurant Nation's and Harvey subsequently changed the name of the San Pablo location. [2]
Nation's menu includes a variety of ¾-pound burgers, including vegetarian, grilled chicken and wild salmon patties. They also serve BLTs and hot dogs as well as a variety of breakfast foods and pies.
Their current slogan, used in commercials, is "It's got to be Nation's!"
