Nate (hangul:네이트) is an internet portal site company, headquartered in Seoul, South Korea and established in 2002. It is a company owned by SK Group. company was internet search shareholders sold as Lycos Korea in 2002. and with internet community company by Cyworld.

NateOn is an instant messaging client provided by Nate, with over 20 million users[1], making the instant messenger more popular in South Korea than the rival service MSN Messenger.[2]
