Natalia Karenka Parra Sierra

Colombian/New Zealand Artist, based in both Bogotá, Colombia and Wellington, New Zealand.
Natalia Parra graduated from Bogotá's Jorge Tadeo Lozano University with a degree in Fine Arts, and was a cofounder of the ImanArte Gallery in the centre of Bogotá.
Residing in New Zealand from 2002 - 2005, Natalia held several exhibitions, both individual and collective, including curating an exhibition of Wellington based Latin American artists, at the newly opened Wellington Arts Centre, and particiapting in the inaugural CrossOver Exhibition. Natalia pàlyed an important role in the development of the profile of Latin American culture in New Zealand, especially Wellington city.
Returning to Colombia in 2005, Natalia held another successful solo exhibition in Bogotá, entitled "Te Hokinga Mai" (The Return Home), the title of which acknoledged the support she received by the Maori people in New Zealand, and she also worked as an Art Teacher in a social project in the south of Bogotá.
