Naser Makarem Shirazi

Grand Ayatollah Naser Makarem Shirazi (born 1927 in Shiraz, Iran) is one of the most influential Ayatollahs currently in Iran.
Ayatollah Naser Makarem Shirazi, is spiritual guide for many shi'a teens. He started his religious studies at the age of 14 at a Religious school in Shiraz and complete his religious studies in a 4 years time, when it usually takes 12 to 15 years.
He was one of the Grand Ayatollahs who expressed objection about Iranian women having the right to watch soccer at stadiums.
