NAS Wildwood is currently an Airport for Props and Jets in New Jersey. It started as a NAS in 1941. Originally called NAS Rio Grande, it got confused in the mail with Rio Grande, Texas. So, in 1942 the name was changed NAS Wildwood. Then it became a civilian airport which is still in operation today known as Cape May County Airport.
