[edit] Welcome to Wikipedia!

Dear Naruto134: Welcome to Wikipedia, a free and open-content encyclopedia. I hope you enjoy contributing. To help get you settled in, I thought you might find the following pages useful:

Don't worry too much about being perfect. Very few of us are! Just in case you are not perfect, click here to see how you can avoid making common mistakes.

If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.

Wikipedians try to follow a strict policy of never biting new users. If you are unsure of how to do something, you are welcome to ask a more experienced user such as an administrator. One last bit of advice: please sign any discussion comment with four tildes (~~~~). The software will automatically convert this into your signature which can be altered in the "Preferences" tab at the top of the screen. I hope I have not overwhelmed you with information. If you need any help just let me know. Once again welcome to Wikipedia, and don't forget to tell us about yourself and be BOLD! [edit] This whole "Back with a Vengence!" stuff...

Could you provide a source for this? Or some kinda proof that this is an actual episode, and not some fanfic somewhere? Thanks in advance. Pacific Coast Highway {blahI'm a hot toe pickerWP:NYCS} 22:56, 2 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2

Please do not add speculation to Wikipedia, as you did to Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2. While it is possible that there will be a Budokai Tenkaichi 3, this isn't the place to be postong that kind of stuff. Thank you for your time and happy editing! // PoeticDecay 02:44, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Your edit summaries

Hi Naruto134 - I've just had a look at your contributions and noticed most of your edit summaries are "I edited this". It would be really handy if you briefly explained what changed you'd made - it helps users who may be watching the page or monitoring Special:Recentchanges. There's more information at Help:Edit summary. Thanks! — Matt Eason (TalkContribs) 21:39, 17 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Need Help!

I need help. I was creating a new page and I messed up the title. Can I edit the title of page I created? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Naruto134 (talkcontribs).

Yep - have a look at Help:Moving a page. You just need to click the 'move' tab at the top of the article and follow the instructions on that page. — Matt Eason (TalkContribs) 10:29, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] A Small Question

I'm trying to make this one episode of Ben 10 accessable because it's not in blue. All the episodes in season three in the infobox are in blue except "Super Alien Hero Buddy Adventures". How can I make this accessable? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Naruto134 (talkcontribs).

I've gone ahead and done it for you - the infobox template is at Template:Infobox Ben 10 episode, and it pulls in seasonal episode lists from (for example) Template:Infobox Ben 10 season 3. The latter is the one you need to edit to change episode lists in the infobox. (Please sign your posts on talk pages by typing ~~~~. Thanks!) — Matt Eason (TalkContribs) 23:34, 3 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Riolu

Please don't add such things like you did to Riolu, it is considered vandalism to add information that is clearly incorrect. Please don't do it again. -Sukecchi 23:01, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Sukecchi!

Listen you Sukecchi, I DID NOT MAKE UP THE RIOLU THING!!!! I was just looking at the Pokemon Ash has now, and I saw Riolu and decided to put that a Riolu got caugth by Ash. So don't go blaming stuff on me! And you, you probally make stuff up too! Other Wikipedians always make stuff up and you guys don't say anything to them. So don't go telling people they're doing vandalism while your probally making stuff up too! I deserve an apology from you!

...Excuse me? How dare you make such a claim. As of the most recient episode of the anime Satoshi does NOT have a Riolu. Episode 21 is "The Strongest Koiking and the Most Beautiful Hinbass". I've seen it, Riolu isn't even in it. -Sukecchi 23:33, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
For the last time, I did not make up the Riolu thing! It was someone else! What part of "I DID NOT MAKE UP THE RIOLU THING" do you not understand? Can't you tell who contributes the things on Wikipedia? I did not make this stuff up!
http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Riolu&diff=prev&oldid=112669818 This shows that it was you. -Sukecchi 23:41, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
Yes, I did that, but I wasn't talking about that. I was talking about what was on the Ash Ketchum page! But it's already gone now! You can look at it's history and see the page's changes!
I'm not talking about that one, I'm talking about the edit on Riolu's page. I don't even have Satoshi's page on my watchlist. >_> -Sukecchi 00:00, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
I put that there because I looked at the Ash Ketchum page and it said Ash caught a Riolu and I thought that it was true and I put the "In the anime" section on the Riolu page. That's why!
See, that's the thing. You can't take everything on Wikipedia as the truth. -Sukecchi 00:14, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
I deserve an apology.
No, you don't. -Sukecchi 00:18, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
Yes I do! I'm not the who came up with the whole Riolu thing! And you were blaming me I made the whole thing up! So there, I do deserve apology!
I've just skim-read this - I'm going to weigh in, but my apologies if I've missed anything.
Naruto134: Wikipedia articles should not use each other as sources, so you shouldn't really copy stuff from other pages without checking it against other sources first (the sources referenced on the other page are fine, if they're there).
Sukecchi: Please try and assume good faith. WP:VANDAL states that "Any good-faith effort to improve the encyclopedia, even if misguided or ill-considered, is not vandalism.". It is not necessarily considered vandalism to "add information that is clearly incorrect", as you stated above. Naruto's edit was not a "deliberate attempt to compromise the integrity of Wikipedia".
Both: Please remember to keep a cool head, even when you disagree on issues like this. We're all working towards a common goal and it's a shame when conflicts like this impair our progress. Thanks :) — Matt Eason (TalkContribs) 23:54, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Another Question

I have yet another question. It's sort of the same question from the "A Small Question" section. But this time, I want to know, how do I edit the infobox? I wanna add the "Underwraps" episode of Ben 10 to the infobox in the season 3 part of the box. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Naruto134 (talkcontribs).

Same as before - Template:Infobox Ben 10 season 3 is the page you want to edit. Please sign your posts on talk pages by typing four tildes (~~~~) — Matt Eason (TalkContribs) 16:01, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Under Wraps list

I am the person who "keeps changing" the list. I have explained why I am doing it every time. There is no reason to have it in list format. Especially in a section that small. It makes a large gap in the section and it doesn't look good. I'm not removing the list completely, I'm just changing the format around. I think it's important to know what aliens Ben used too, but you have to understand that the pages appearance also matters. I'm not doing it to make you mad, keep that in mind, I'm only helping with the article. Remember, no one owns any one article, it's a team effort. -Sukecchi 01:52, 11 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] South Park

Hi, Naruto -- I noticed you created TBA (South Park episode) for the one that will follow "Cartman Sucks." While I can appreciate wanting to get a head start on cataloging the new episodes, you should in general not create such articles per What Wikipedia is not (specifically, the section Wikipedia is not a crystal ball). Even though we know there is going to be an episode after "Cartman Sucks," there is literally nothing we can say about this upcoming episode -- indeed, Comedy Central hasn't even officially announced that it will exist, so the info contained ("It airs on March 21") is technically original research. The other problem is that once the episode title is announced, you're going to have to move the page from "TBA (South Park episode)" to whatever the title is, which creates a pretty useless redirect from TBA (South Park episode).

Just a heads-up. In the future, please don't create pages like this -- just hang on until it's officially announced, and then create the article at the correct title. Take a look at Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not#Wikipedia is not a crystal ball for the official policy wording & reasoning behind. Thanks. Dylan 17:00, 13 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Accent Marks

How do I put accent marks on letters? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Naruto134 (talkcontribs).

There are various ways of doing it. This works in some programs. Alt Gr (bottom-right of your keyboard - it's not there on all keyboards) does accents on some systems (Alt Gr + e makes é on my computer). You can also do this. You could go to Start > Run > type 'charmap' and hit OK and copy the character you need. Or you could use the special characters box under the Wikipedia edit box to insert them (it might be something you need to enable in your preferences, I forget)

[edit] Orochimaru (Naruto)

A revert war is not going to get the results you want. Use the talk page to discuss this issue. In the meantime, read the policy on constantly reverting articles. JuJube 01:19, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

Please link to the rule that says it's not allowed to remove things people add. Because if it's true, then vandals have carte blanche to add whatever crap they want. (I'm not saying you're a vandal.) JuJube 01:29, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
But you're being one now. Knock it off. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 01:42, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

I have temporarily blocked you for violating WP:3RR on Orochimaru (Naruto). If you continue to edit war with other users in an uncivil tone, you will face a longer block. Chill out ˉˉanetode╦╩ 01:45, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

  • How rude. This will not get you anywhere. JuJube 01:53, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

I can't read your mind, so how was I supposed to know you were going to add the licensing? And as for removing your images for no reason, I did have a reason. You disagreed with it, and I disagreed with your disagreement. It's how things work. ~SnapperTo 02:38, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Your Pokemon edits

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. However, adding content without citing a reliable source is not consistent with our policy on attribution and verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Serebii and friends are using anonymou sources, so we cannot include any information from them in the article unless and until they reveal their sources. Regards, Jeske (v^_^v) 01:10, 30 March 2007 (UTC)

I did reveal the source. I said I found the names on YouTube. There are a few movies that have the same names. -- Naruto134 6:12, 29 March 2007 (UTC)

I looked again, and the above stands, except the Serebii bit. However, you must cite the reliable source. Sorry, but just saying "I saw it on YouTube" doesn't cut it. Regards, Jeske (v^_^v) 01:15, 30 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Editing

Stop adding pointless things and I'll stop deleting them, simple as that. You need to learn when and how things should be added. It's not my problem if you're not willing to listen. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 22:15, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

How dare you! There is no need for rudeness. -- Naruto134 3:23, 31 March 2007 (UTC)
Quit acting all put off by my bluntness. It helps no one and makes youlook foolish. You've been told in no uncertain terms why you've been reverted, so don't do things that cause it. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 22:36, 31 March 2007 (UTC)
See there, you're being rude again! I won't stop unless I'm told nicely and politly. this is not being nice. Your just being a rude bastard who doesn't give good reasons of why you get rid of them. And none of this idiot stuff. I not being an idiot saying stupid things like pointless, no and so and not giving good explanations. -- Naruto134 3:42, 31 March 2007 (UTC)
I'm not obligated to type out a paragraph to tell you why what you're doing is wrong, as you should be capable of figuring that out on your own. Oh, and to answer the question you asked Bewildebeast, no. You don't get to block people simply because they disagree with you, though I applaud your efforts for little old me. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 22:47, 31 March 2007 (UTC)
Please both remember to be civilMatt Eason (TalkContribs) 00:06, 1 April 2007 (UTC)

I'm getting tired of repeatedly telling you things only to have you whine like a four year old and ignore what you've been told. I'm only going to say this once. You are adding things that go against policy. You do not get to do that. You can yell all you want, but it will not let you get your way nor will it make me back down. I suggest you catch onto this fact quickly, because it's only going to become all the more frustrating for you when your efforts are repeatedly shot down because your listening skills fail you. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 05:50, 1 April 2007 (UTC)

If someone else writes that, I'll revert them just like I reverted you. I do not care who's doing it. Forgive the bluntness, but you can bitch and spew obscenities all you like. The fact remains that you are still in the wrong, and it will remain that way until the episode airs. If the episode happens to feature something similar, it only makes you a good guesser. I will feel no worse for it being true, nor will I hold you in any higher regard for writing ten different theories and rejoicing when one happens to match up. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 06:01, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
You just don't listen, do you? I suppose I'll have to quote what you wrote to make you realize why you're behaving like a child.

This means the mummy alien was freed by Ghostfreak, it defrosted or another of its kind appeared.

This is called speculation. Speculation is when you pull explanations out of thin air for no reason other than you think they sound good. Now quit complaining on my talk page and stop missing the point. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 06:20, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
Yelling and not even bothering to read why you're being reverted is not being nice. It's called being ignorant. You pulled this same nonsense with the Orochimaru picture. Rather than listen to what you were told, you merely reverted until an admin slapped you for acting like a fool. All you've learned from then and now is how to stop and yell more. Try learning to listen and correct your mistakes. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 06:29, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
I'm not an admin. I cannot abuse what I do not have. I suggest you take the effort to learn how to tell an admin from a non-admin before making ridiculous claims. Even if I were an admin, I have not used any admin tools on you, therefore I cannot possibly have abused the tools in the first place. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 06:37, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
By the way, Naruto: If you want to tell somebody to stop using emotive language/personal attacks, it's generally not a good idea to personally attack them with emotive language when you tell them to do so. Just saying. Bewildabeast's suggestion applies to you just as much as it applies to Someguy. You Can't See Me! 23:46, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
You don't seriously think what you just said really has a point, do you? What I removed was a personal attack. I suggest you read WP:NPA and learn what that means, as you don't seem to understand that. While I'm willing to listen to Bewildabeast's advice, I am equally unwilling to put up with your continued childish yelling on talk pages. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 00:06, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
Unless you define attack much differently than normal people, do not even try to excuse your childish ranting "(a stubborn wikipedian that thinks everything is pointless, which his mind is, he is rude, and he thinks everything everyone puts should be deleted)" as anything but a personal attack. It was deleted because you cannot seem to mount a decent argument without screaming in text and complaining at length about how you think you've somehow been wronged. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 01:19, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
You throwing hissy fits is your fault, not mine, and its certainly not my fault you act that way. You've displayed such behavior well before I started shooting your attempts down, so don't try to pass your problems off as something other people caused. You need to listen and learn when to stop, not complain non-stop to everyone in sight because another editor is unwilling to let you do as you please. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 01:55, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
If you consider bluntness rudeness then I guess I'm guilty, but I don't consider it an issue. You're the one who insists on carrying this on well past any normal dropping point. I suggest you let this go, as you won't accomplish anything. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 02:22, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

This phrasing might be more to your liking:

  • Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing.
