Nargis (Urdu: نرگس) is film-actress turned stage dancer. She is more popular because of her dances. She acted in Idrees Khan’s Aalmi Ghunde (Global Thugs), in the leading role, with a script written by Nasir Adeeb, but received very few good roles after this. Roles in movies like Kuri Munda Razi and Kala Raj were type-casted, and her career suffered -- as well as her reputation as a solo star. Nargis agreed to shave off her cascading hair to do a most unusual role of a bald woman for Omar Sharif’s Chand Babu. She appears regularly on stage plays and theater musicals in Lahore, Multan and other cities throughout Pakistan and has acquired a reputation for her lewd dances and double-entendres on stage. Deedar, her younger sister also appears on stage quite frequently.
