Narcao is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Carbonia-Iglesias in the Italian region Sardinia, located about 40 km west of Cagliari and about 15 km east of Carbonia. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 3,384 and an area of 86.1 km2.[1]
The municipality of Narcao contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Rio Murtas, Terraseo, Pesus, Is Meddas, Is Sais, Is Aios, Terrubia, and Is Cherchis.
Narcao borders the following municipalities: Carbonia, Iglesias, Nuxis, Perdaxius, Siliqua, Villamassargia, Villaperuccio.
