Narayani Shastri

Narayani Shastri (b. April 16, 1978) is an Indian TV actress. She started with Kahani Saat Phero Ki on DD1 nearly five years ago. Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, in which she played Kesar, Tulsi's sister, was her first daily soap opera but she left it because her role was not being developed. She also starred in Koi Apna Sa as Shruti, Khusum, as the conivingTashu, and later, Piya Ka Ghar, as the popular sacrificing Rimjhim.

She has taken up two new projects subsequently. One is tentatively titled Kabhie Na Kabhie in which she is paired opposite Rohit Roy and plays a cop for the first time, and the other is Twinkle Beauty Parlour produced by Shristhi Behl.

Mad About Money is her first English play, but she has done a lot of theatre earlier. She did Ghulam, Begam, Badshah with Rajpal Yadav two years ago. She has done a lot of theatre in Bhopal.

She likes music, dancing, reading. Aloo paratha is her favourite meal, She relishes north Indian dishes baingan ka bharta and bhindi ki sabzi. She loves going out to restaurants, with Urban Tadka, Bade Miyan, Side Wok, Holiday Inn, Amar Juice Centre, Sheetal Samudra, and H2O being her regular haunts. She is allergic to sweets. Her favourite fruits are mangoes, litchis and cherries. Favourite spice—chilli. She was at Symbiosis College in Pune, and later, she moved to Government Law College in Mumbai.

Narayani has a lot of names. Like in Pune her friends know her as Avantika Shastri. Sana is also one of her names. She is remembered as a very bubbly fun loving girl.

Her current beau is also a television star, Gaurav Chopra who starred alongside Narayani in Nach Baliye Season 2.
