Narayan Shridhar Bendre

Narayan Shridhar Bendre (1910-1992) was one of India's great painters of the 20th century.
In 1945 he was in Shantiniketan as an artist with Nandalal Bose, Ram Kinkar Baij, and Binod Behari Mukherjee. From 1950, to 1966 He served in the Department of Paintings in Faculty of Fine Arts, Baroda and left it when he was a Dean.
He was recognised with awards including Padma Shri (1969) and Kalidas Samman (1984).
