Nambiar

The name Nambiar applies to two separate Hindu communities from Kerala, South India:
- Nambiar (Nair Subcaste) - A sect of Nairs, Kiriyathil Nairs, i.e. chieftains and landlords.
- Nambiar (Ambalavasi) - Ambalavasi sect. Associated with ritualistic temple performances like Chakyar koothu and Koodiyattam.
The name also applies to people outside India:
- Nambiar (Non-Indian) - An English family title that is independent of Hindu Nambiars from Kerala.
