Nalini Sharma

Nalini Sharma is a TV personality on CityTV in Toronto. She can be seen on City TV's Breakfast Television, City News at Noon, City News at 6, City News at 11, and CP24. She started her career at CityTV as a weather specialist, though she now also covers stories for news broadcasts.

Nalini Sharma was born in East York, Ontario, part of the former municipality of Metropolitan Toronto, and has lived and worked in Toronto for most of her life. In the early 90s she worked as a newswriter at CFPL-TV in London, Ontario. She later moved back to Toronto and worked as a reporter for Broadcast News before being recruited to help with the start-up of Millennium Media Television. She stayed at MMTV for 4 years and produced more than 400 episodes of various shows before joining "BT-Breakfast Television" in August 2003.

She is a graduate of Ryerson's Radio and Television Arts Program.

Sharma reports that she enjoys reading immensely, reading everything from cookbooks to travel journals to medical periodicals. She also has called herself a "Great Cook" and calls watching Bollywood movies her "guilty pleasure." She is married and has one young son.
