Nakusp Music Fest is a music festival started in the Summer of 2004. It is held in Nakusp, British Columbia. The innaugaral event included performers such as Randy Bachman, Trooper, Dr. Hook and Wide Mouth Mason. The 2006 festival is to include such bands as April Wine, Blue Rodeo, Tal Bachman, Jason McCoy and the Road Hammers, and Roger Hodgson, the former lead singer of the band Supertramp. This year they are expecting to sell upwards of 6000 tickets compared to about 4800 last year. Not only do you get great music at this festival, there are many food vendors along with shop vendors. The grounds are only a short distance from the local beach, where you can cool off, considering the festival takes place in July.
