وكان صفوان من أشد الناس عداوة وكرهًا للنبي وأصحابه. قبل أن يدخل في الإسلام، أسلمت زوجته ناجية بنت الوليد بن المغيرة يوم فتح مكة، وظل هو على كفره وعداوته للإسلام حتى منَّ الله عليه بالإسلام، فأسلم.
Translation:
And Safwan was one of the biggest enemies of the Prophet and his Sahaba. Before converting to Islam, his wife, Najiya ibnat al-Walid ibn al-Mughira, became a Muslim on the day of the conquest of Mecca, while he continued his infidelity and hatred to Islam until Allah bestowed upon him, and therefore he embraced Islam.
