The first nail polish was created in 3000 BC, by the Chinese, using gum arabic, egg whites, gelatin, and beeswax. Another consisted of mashed petals of roses and orchirds, impatiens, and alum. Michelle Menard was responsible for created the modern nail polish, which is made of nitrocellluse, colored pigments, formaldehyde, and dibutyl phtalate.
