Nagewadi is a small village near Satara city in Maharashtra state of India. This village is based across Pune - Bangalore national highway number 4 and is 11 Km away from Satara city. Nagewadi is a famous for Goddess Shakambhari Devi temple and also for Goddess MariMata, Kalikadevi. This village is mostly dependent on Farm products and money coming from Mumbai. This village was established by a person named Veer Sawant some 200 years ago, so entire village is of Sawant family, except some guests families.
