Nadirah X is a Jamaican rap/hip-hop singer.

Born Nadirah Sabreen Seid and now known as Nadz to her friends, she is the last of four children born from Carmen and Melvin Seid, who in the seventies were introduced to the Black Panther Movement and Nation of Islam by Melvin's older brother Omar Seid.

In 2002, Nadz won the Irie FM / CME Big Break competition which led to a performance at Island Village where she met Brian Jobson and Dave Stewart from the Eurythmics. Stewart immediately invited Nadz to England to record some tracks with a band he was putting together called DUP (Da Univerzal Playaz). Impressed, Stewart signed her to his European based label Artist Network. She began touring Europe as the third member of DUP. Featured on the tours were Joanne Shaw Taylor, Candy Dulfer and Jimmy Cliff with whom Nadz recorded Positive mind for his Album Fantastic Plastic People. Later that year she won Best New Female Artist in Jamaica.

In 2003, Nadz was commissioned by Coca Cola to do a jingle for their Real Campaign in the carribean at the same time her track I Hate This was a part of the Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life movie soundtrack.

In 2004, Nadz scored another blockbuster movie soundtrack for Golden Globe award winning film Alfie singing the title track with Joss Stone and Rolling Stones lead man Mick Jagger. She also sung in the Peace One Day song with Dave Stewart, Mudbone and Jimmy Cliff.

In 2006, Nadz recorded tracks for her first album with Dave Stewart, Jeff Bova and Ned Douglas as well as teaming up with Mudbone to open for Pink on her UK tour before headline a club tour of their own.

Her first single and album are due to be released in 2007.

Nadz states her influences to be Queen Latifah (Black Reign & Order in the Court Albums) Nas, The Roots, Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Tracy Chapman, Eurythmics, Erykah Badu, Diana King, Lauren Hill, Nina Simone, Will Smith, Jimmy Cliff, Platinum Weird and more recently K.T. Tunstall.
