Nachal Oz

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Nahal `Oz (Heb. נחל עוז — "Strong Brook") is a kibbutz near Sderot and Netivot in the southwestern part of Israel's Shaar HaNegev Regional Council. Nahal `Oz, founded in 1951, is part of the Kibbutz Movement.[1]

On 29 November, 2006, the [2] Israeli Ministry of Tourism unveiled plans to open an elephant park housing 30 Asian Elephants, on land near the kibbutz Nahal Oz. The proposal has the elephants roaming freely, or harnessed to provide rides for tourists.
