Nach Baliye is an annual series reality dance show. Its contestants are couples who are generally TV stars in their own right. It has a big prize for the winner. The public can vote for its favorite dancers via mobile phones or on the internet. The show started in mid-2005 and the first winners were Sachin and Supriya. A new season, Nach Baliye 2, began airing in the fall of 2006. The 2nd Season was won by Hussain and Tina. The show airs on Star One.

Manish Goyal and Poonam Goyal constituted the first couple of Nach Baliye. They were eliminated in Mega Final Round.

Manish Goyal is an actor who has performed for Balaji Telefilms. He has appeared in 'Kasauti Zindagi Kay', a TV serial of Star Plus and he has appeared in another show of Star Plus called 'Bhabhi' which is produced by UTV. On the last episode of Nach Baliye, Manish said that he dreamt of five angels in his life which are his mother, his sister, Ekta Kapoor, his wife Poonam and Savri.

Poonam Narula Goyal is an actress who has performed in 'Kasauti Zindagi Kay' as Manish's wife and she is his wife in real life too. Poonam also appeared in Shararat, a show on Star Plus produced by UTV but left to work on 'Kkusum'. what is her weight?

Manini Mishra and Mihir Mishra was the second couple of Nach Baliye and was eliminated in the Second Round.

Manini Mishra is an actress and she has worked with both Archana and Parmeet, the fourth couple of Nach Baliye. With Archana, Manini has appeared in the movie Krrish. Archana is the boss of the office and Manini acts the role of Priya's friend. With Parmeet, she appeared on a show on Sony Entertainment Television Asia called Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin. In the show, she loves Parmeet but Parmeet doesn't love Manini according to the show. Currently she is working on a show on Zee TV called Betiyaa Ghar Ki Lakshmi.

Mihir Mishra appeared in Sanjivani, a show on Star Plus. He became the hero of the show and the character's name is Rahul. Mihir also came in CID Special Beurau and Ye Meri Life Hai on Sony. In the first round of Nach Baliye, Mihir had infection and he couldn't do well but because of judges and India, Mihir was safe.

Neeru and Amit is the couple which was the third couple and it was eliminated on the fourth episode. Amit also appeared on sixth round as a guest.

Neeru has appeared on a show of Star Plus called Jeet.she has done a cameo in shows such as mili , jassi jaisi koi nahin and kareena kareena. her claim to fame was the show called guns n roses followed by nach baliye & a punjabi movie 'dil apna punjabi'.

Amit Sadh debuted from the television show of Star Plus called Kyun Hota Hai Pyaar and his role was of Adi. He became the hero of the show and he has also appeared on a show of Sahara One and a show of Balaji Telefilms on Sony called Kkoi Dil Mein Hai. He also appeared as a guest in the sixth round of Nach Baliye.He did a serial in Star One called 'Guns and Roses'.He has also been in the Sony Entertainment Television show "Bigg Boss." This has gotten him a lot of fame since he managed to stay almost until the end of the show.

Archana and Parmeet was the fourth couple on Nach Baliye and it was eliiminated on the Solo Performance Round.

Archana Puran Singh appeared in a comedy show Saamnewali Khidki which aired on Star Plus. She has also appeared in recent films such as Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Krrish. She is currently a hostess of Kandy Floss, a show by Balaji Telefilms which currently airs on Sony.

Parmeet Sethi is a film and TV actor. He appeared in a movie called Diljale and a movie in 2000s called Om Jai Jagadish. Parmeet also appeared in Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin, a show of Sony Entertainment Television Asia. He also starred in the biggest blockbuster of Bollywood, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, as the second lead.

Shilpa and Apurva was the fifth couple on Nach Baliye and it was eliminated on the fifth round and the couple also came as guests on the Solo Performance Round.

Shilpa Saklani is a TV actress. She currently works in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, a TV show by Balaji Telefilms which airs on Star Plus. She also appeared in Kkusum, a TV show by Balaji Telefilms on Sony.

Apurva Agnihotri is a Bollywood actor who has worked in many films such as Pyar Koi Khel Nahin, Pardes, Lakeer and many others. He really shot to fame when he worked in Sony Entertainments hit television show "Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi." Currently he is working on Sony Entertainments television show "Kaajjal." His acting skills highly resemble his previos works where he was highly appreciated.

Rohit and Mansi were the sixth couple of the show. The couple was eliminated in the first round.

Rohit Roy is a TV actor and he has appeared in many shows such as a comedy TV serial, Hera Pheri in 1990s which aired on Star Plus. He also appeared in Kkusum, a show of Balaji Telefilms which aired on Sony and he is currently working on Viraasat, a show of Star Plus. Rohit was once seen in IIFA Awards 2006 when Himesh Reshammiya was singing a song. He also starred with Fardeen Khan in the film Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena. Also, he co-hosted SaReGaMaPa Ek Main Aur Ek Tu with Ishita Arun for some time. Rohit also worked in the TV serial named Baat Ban Jaaye and he got fame while working in the serial named SWABHIMAAN which was aired on DD.

Mansi is the wife of Rohit. She once came with Rohit in Jodee Kamal Ki, a show of Star Plus. She has starred in the hit serial, Kkusum, and others like Saaya. She also worked in a serial called Gharwali Uparwali with Mukul Dev and Niki Aneja Walia. She also working with Rohit.

Delnaz and Rajiv were the seventh couple of the show. The couple was eliminated in the Quarter Final Round and it was the luckiest couple of Nach Baliye.

Delnaz has appeared in many films. She is currently performing on the Star Plus show Shararat. She has also starred in Karan Johar's superhit film, Kal Ho Naa Ho, in the role of Sweetu.

Rajiv is a very popular actor on television. He is currently performing on the Star Plus show Saarrthi.

Rajeshwari and Varun was the couple eliminated in the Semi Final Round and it was the best couple of the show.

[edit] Episode 1

The episode 1 was the first episode in which all the ten couples performed and Rohit and Mansi, the sixth couple were eliminated.

Manini and Mihir, the second couple were eliminated in the episode 2 of Nach Baliye.

It was a bad episode for Sai and Shakti. They both were eliminated in the episode.

Amit and Neeru were eliminated in the episode 4 of Nach Baliye because of fewer votes.

Shilpa and Apurva performed very well but they were eliminated in episode 5 of Nach Baliye.

[edit] Solo Performance Episode

Episode 6 was an episode of the Solo Performance. Amit Sadh who was eliminated in Episode 4 returned to Nach Baliye on the Solo Performance and Shilpa and Apurva also returned who were eliminated in just the fifth episode. Men and women all danced separately and because of their least scores, Archana and Parmeet were eliminated, though Parmeet scored full points.

[edit] Quarter-Final

On the Quarter-Final the luckiest couple of Nach Baliye Rajiv and Delnaz were eliminated. Shahid Kapoor came to the episode as a guest.

[edit] Semi-Final

On the Semi-Final the best couple of Nach Baliye, Rajeshwari and Varun were eliminated and it was the Judges' Score Round. Albert Solomon came on Nach Baliye as a guest.

[edit] Mega-Final

The two couples, Sachin and Supriya and Poonam and Manish performed in Mega-Final and the other eight couples which were eliminated had returned to Nach Baliye and they also performed. Sai was the best female performer and Varun was the best male performer. Sachin and Supriya won the Nach Baliye competition. Chandana Sharma and Amit Khanna came to Nach Baliye on Mega-Final as guests.

Nach Bailye 2 started on 25 September 2006 and ended on 18 December 2006, crowning Tina and Hussain as winners.

Farhan Akhtar is replaced by Kunal Kohli, due to Farhan's new movie Don - The Chase Begins Again. Saroj Khan and Malaika Arora Khan remain the same judges for Nach Baliye 2. It has been produced by SOL, India's most progressive and classy TV production house.[citation needed]

For every episode in Nach Baliye 2, a new host from Nach Baliye one will be presented.

Sachin & Supriya were the hosts for the first episode that was telecast on 25 September 2006. Rohit & Mansi were the hosts for the second episode telecast on 2 October 2006.Mihir and Manini were the hosts for the third episode telecast on 9 October 2006 whilst Amit & Neeru were the hosts for the fourth episode telecast on 16 October 2006. Rajiv & Delnaaz were the hosts for the fifth episode telecast on 23 October 2006 whilst Sangeeta and Shabir were the hosts of the sixth episode on 30 October 2006. The seventh episode to be broadcasted on 06 November 2006 where one of the five couples who had previously been evicted will be gain a chance to re-enter in the WILD CARD entry round hosted by Varun and Rajeshwari. Sangeeta and Shabir were the hosts for the eight episode telecast on 13 November 2006 and ninth episode telecast on 20 November 2006. Shakti and Sai were the hosts of the tenth episode telecase on 27 November 2006. Apoorva and Shilpa were the hosts of the eleventh episode telecast on 04 December 2006. Manish and Poonam were the hosts of the twelth episode telecast on 11 December 2006. Shabir and Sangeeta were hosts for the Mega Final telecast on 18 December 2006, with Rajiv Paul and guest appearance mady by Sachin & Supriya.
