[edit] RGD-5
Hi, welcome to wikipedia. I've trimmed some of your edits to RGD-5. The photos are nice - but we don't really need two images of unfuzed grenades in the article. I've kept one and removed one. Also I migrated the image to a thumbnail rather than using the whole infobox. You might consider re-uploading the images at the commons ( http://commons.wikimedia.org ) - if you upload the images there, they can be directly linked to from all wikipedia articles (including other language wikipedias) - and it's possible to create gallery pages that can be linked to from wikipedia using the {{commons}} template. [edit] License tagging for Image:Shellshock2.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Shellshock2.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Atheris squamigera
Hi Nabokov. I saw your edits to the venom section of the Atheris squamigera article. Where did you get this information? I'd like to add a reference. (You can answer here: I've temporarily added this page on my watchlist). --Jwinius 19:14, 21 January 2007 (UTC)
Hi Jwinius,
My updated entry on the Wikipedia page is a synopsis of the information found on this web-page:-
http://www.kingsnake.com/atheris/venom.html
I thought it would help to have a few basic details re. the venom of A.squamigera - just in case some poor guy out there gets "nailed" by one.
Best wishes,
Nabokov.
- Sorry, but almost none of that information there is specific to A. squamigera. What it does mention is:
- "...I have received some anecdotal information that polyvalent Echis serum has been used with success in Atheris squamigera."
- "There have been at least two fatalities caused by the bite of Atheris squamigera..."
- We shouldn't bother with the first of these, since even the author doesn't have solid proof of this, but we can mention that there have been two deaths. I'm going to change the article accordingly. Remember that there's also an Atheris article with general venom information. --Jwinius 11:47, 22 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] link to British
Hello. Thank you for your recent edit to Trench knife. Your edit included one or more links to the page British, which is a disambiguation page. This type of page is intended to direct users to more specific topics. Ordinarily we try to avoid creating links to disambiguation pages, since it is preferable to link directly to the specific topic relevant to the context. You can help Wikipedia by revising the links to refer directly to the most relevant topic such as such as United Kingdom or Great Britain by writing out [[United Kingdom|British]] or [[Great Britain|British]]. [edit] Speed of sound
I'm temporarily reverting your edit to the Supressor article, as the statement you added contradicts the information in the Speed of sound article, specifically this:
- Air pressure has no effect at all in an ideal gas approximation. This is because pressure and density both contribute to sound velocity equally, and in an ideal gas the two effects cancel out, leaving only the effect of temperature.
If you can defend the changing speed of sound with respect to pressure, then the edit can go back in, otherwise I think the comments on air pressure should be removed. scot 20:05, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
- Sounds good to me; would you like to put in the change or shall I? scot 20:34, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

- I rounded things to 2 significant digits, and used fps and m/s since those are used for ballistics--kilometers and miles are not. scot 22:05, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Sir_Mark_Sykes.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Sir_Mark_Sykes.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.
