[edit] Alleged imagevio

This image should not be removed. It is historical and depicts a plane that was destroyed in a terrorist attack. There is no other image available of this aircraft before the crash. Please keep it on here. Fighting for Justice 06:19, 9 January 2007 (UTC)

First seven pictures that come up on a search for the plane's tail #:
N739PA #1
N739PA #2
N739PA #3
N739PA #4
N739PA #5
N739PA #6
N739PA #7
Thats a quick 3 minute search on airliners.net. I'm sure if we ask politely, a plane watcher on airliners.net would be more than willing to contribute a photo of N739PA.--293.xx.xxx.xx 08:37, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
Conscious has today removed the alleged imagevio tag, because the detailed fair use rationale was accepted.Phase4 16:33, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
Reason not fully given, i'm reputting the image backup for possible copyright violations. Also, your fairuse rationale is flawed given the evidence above.--293.xx.xxx.xx 02:31, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
  • Of the seven images you listed above, 293.xx.xxx.xx, only the first and third show Clipper Maid of the Seas. The others are its former name Clipper Morning Light, and one image is unnamed. For reasons given here and elsewhere, I'm removing the imagevio tag.Phase4 09:47, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
  • Your fairuse is still questionable and you violated the Do not edit this media until an administrator has resolved this issue. part of the tag. Putting it back in. --293.xx.xxx.xx 12:09, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] A two-jumbo image

Upon closer inspection of this image, I see that behind the Pan Am Boeing 747 Clipper Maid of the Seas is another Boeing 747 in the apartheid era livery of South African Airways.Phase4 16:33, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Pan Am factoid

293.xx.xxx.xx gives seven links to the airliners.net website (above). On several of the links, the narrative says that Clipper Maid of the Seas used to be known as Clipper Morning Light, until it was renamed in 1980.Phase4 18:44, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
