Nørager

Nørager is a municipality (Danish, kommune) in North Jutland County on the Jutland peninsula in northern Denmark. The municipality covers an area of 168 km², and has a total population of 5,565 (2005). Its mayor is Poul Larsen, a member of the Conservative People's Party (Det Konservative Folkeparti) political party.

The main town and the site of its municipal council is the town of Nørager.

Neighboring municipalities are Arden to the east, Støvring to the north, Aars and Aalestrup to the west, and Hobro to the southeast.

By January 1, 2007 Nørager municipality will cease to exist as the result of Kommunalreformen ("The Municipality Reform" of 2007). It will be merged with existing Skørping and Støvring municipalities to form the new Rebild municipality. This will create a municipality with an area of 628 km² and a total population of 28,457 (2005). The new municipality will belong to the new Region Nordjylland ("North Jutland Region").
