Mystic Stylez (1995) |
Chapter 1: The End (1996) |
Mystic Stylez is Three 6 Mafia's debut album released in 1995. The album spawned no number one hits, but proceeded to get radio play in Memphis, Tennessee. The members in the group at the time of the CD include DJ Paul, Crunchy Black, Juicy J, Lord Infamous, Gangsta Boo, Kingpin Skinny Pimp, Lil Glock & S.O.G, K Rock, Koopsta Knicca, and Playa Fly. The album is much more bleak and raw than anything they released later. Much more serious and forboding than later works. Satanic and other occult references are also much more prominent while sexual content is scarce compared to later releases. Fuckin Wit Dis Click is the most prominent example. The album inspired a re-issued version in 2000 but the original version is the one worth seeking out. This album is very well probably the most horror-themed album ever released by Three 6 Mafia
