[edit] Joke remembered

One of Mr. Cohen's stories I remember involved a wealthy, self-made Jewish gentleman who was a tycoon wholesaler. He mentioned how this man had raised a family, all children professionals, or married to same, but with a wife seriously ill. He had converted a part of the home to have all the medical facilities she needed, full-time nursing, etc. He spent a lot of time at her bedside, but nearly all the time she was either heavily-sedated, or in pain awaiting sedation. He spent hours talking to her, but with her unable to participate. However, one day, as he was saying, "Oh, I wish it were me instead of you, Darling, I wish there were something I could do," she happened, for once to be totally lucid and pain-free. She looked up and said, "There is one thing you can do for me, (Sam?)." Surprised and ecstatic, he smiled and said, "Anything, Darling, anything, what is it?" To which she replied, "Please bury me retail." (Moved from article page to here, where it's more appropriate.)
