Myria (Breath of Fire character)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Myria is a goddess from the Breath of fire series. She is also known as Tyr. Her sister is revealed to be Deis during Breath of Fire III (Bleu in the American versions of Breath of Fire I and II) who is also an Endless.
Myria is perceived in all inhabitants of the Breath of Fire universe as a goddess, whom was a cause of war and destruction through the usage of deception. In Breath of Fire, she was the cause of the war between the dragon clans, acting as a sort of genie. When the player finally reaches Myria, who is disguised as a maiden, she makes an attempt to deceive the player with granting wishes. Giving into the deception rewards the player with the bad ending. However, refusing the offer causes Myria to attack the player. Unless the player has the powerful Agni transformation, Myria's true form will never be revealed.
Breath of Fire III, Myria is the cause of the near extinction of the dragons, called Brood, by creating creatures called Guardians that could wipe them out. It's possible since the installment of the game has connections to the first Breath of Fire that she initiated the extermination of the Brood since she was defeated by them before. The reason that was known to everyone else was that the Brood were too powerful to live. Again once the player reaches Myria, she attempts to deceive the characters into thinking that the world would be a better place without the Brood.
