Talk:Myles Allen

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The only link to a home page that I have found for Myles Allen does not provide any information. I would vote for him being notable but I am far from convinced that I have found enough information to pursuade other people. I was asked to provide more background to the climateprediction.net project but maybe that includes mentioning the people involved but not to consider them notable.

Can I quote: "An article about a real person that does not assert that person's importance or significance - people such as college professors or actors may be individually important in society; people such as students and bakers are not, or at least not for the reason of being a student or baker. If the assertion is disputed or controversial, it should be taken to VFD instead."

Over 100,000 people have at least tried to run the Climateprediction.net software, an action that costs them time and money. Around 30,000 computers are running the software. Clearly lots of people think it is important.

This does not meet speedy deletion criteria. VfD could be more appropriate.

I agree it dosen't meet the critera. The project is major so the starter of the project is also significant. I removed the tag. NSR (talk) 20:53, 31 July 2005 (UTC)

[edit] List of papers

I added a list of papers. I know it is too long and some of the less important papers should be removed. I am not sure I feel up to the task of deciding what is important.
