Mykola Plaviuk

Mykola Plaviuk (Ukrainian: Микола Васильович Плав'юк, Mykola Vasyliovych Plaviuk; born 5 June 1925 in Russiv, Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast), Ukrainian emigrant, he was President of the UNR in exile (1989—1992).
During a ceremonious session of the Verkhovna Rada on August 22nd, 1992 in Kiev, Mykola Plaviuk gave in to the President of Ukrainian Independent State proclaimed on August 24, 1991 Leonid Kravchuk, a declaration of delegation of power and a cessation of activity of the state center of the Ukrainian People's Republic (UNR) in exile.
In this declaration, it is specified that the new Ukrainian State is the lawful successor of the UNR.
