Mykel Shannon-Jenkins

Mykel Shannon-Jenkins (born Michael Shannon Jenkins), is an American actor. He graduated from Loyola University in New Orleans, Louisiana. He has a wife named Tracy and has a young son.
He's best known as the winner of SOAPnet's I Wanna Be a Soap Star for its first season.
Since winning the recurring role from I Wanna Be a Soap Star for General Hospital as Officer Byron Murphy, mostly as a background character his current storyline puts him as a dirty corrupt cop. Jenkins exited the soap when he was shot and killed by Jesse Beaudry (Matt Marraccini) after he held Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) at gunpoint on July 22, 2005.
