[edit] Wikipedia reverts

You were faster than me on the Pele revert. I may have used an older edit than you. Thanks for the good work! (3-20-2006 6:42AM CST)

Thank you :-) I'll go check the article now, I think I saw a typo or two in your revision, I'll see what I can do about it! Good job! - Myanw 11:49, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

Great job with the user reverts! You got there just before me, keep up the good work! Crested Penguin 09:31, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] User talk:213.220.233.230

I believe the edits to userpage of User talk:Opelio were wrongly assigned to me, I am a strong anti-vandalism fighter (please see the edits made under my username). It has also been ages since I have edited not being logged in. The ip-adres I use is used by different people, maybe this is the reason why edits got "crossed" I strongly support anti-vandalism since it lowers standards and quality of wikipedia, it is also a loss of server capacity. [edit] 82.23.122.170

He vandalised Wikipedia again, after you gave him a last warning. Can you block him, please? A•N•N•Afoxlover hello! 17:34, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks

Image:Gutworth Smile.png Thanks for reverting vandalism on my userpage. Gutworth 20:53, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

You're welcome! Those vandals were very angry with you, it's the proof you're doing a great job! Nice smile by the way :-D - Myanw 20:57, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] I did not vandalize.

In the page Earliest living United States president, Jimmy Carter was listed as the current earliest living president.

This conflicts with his date of birth being 4 months later than George H. W. Bush.

Jimmy Carter was born 1-OCT-1924 and George H. W. Bush was born 6-12-1924 according to Whitehouse.gov therefore it is Bush who is the current earliest living president.

If I have misunderstood, please advise.

As I understand it, the article lists the living president that served longest ago, I'm certainly not as familiar with former US President as any US citizen would be, but to me, Jimmy Carter served before George H. W. Bush. Since the former is still alive (isn't he?), I'd leave him where he was. Now, I understand your (valid) point regarding who's older, but IMHO it's not what the list is about. (By the way, I removed the warning since it was clearly not vandalism, I apologize for issuing it to you) Cheers - Myanw 09:01, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Pele misunderstanding

I'm not bothered about whether that sentence is in or not.. I'm not sure that I even like it. I was just curious as to why it had been removed with an edit summary of "removing vandalism", that's all. aLii 12:12, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

It was The Weather Channel staff or meterologists that did this to the article.

I don't know, sorry. - Myanw 07:53, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Vandal Patrol

Dear Myanw, I was trying to restore the Art pgae, to a former version, you were doing it the same time (so I got the edit conflict :-) ), but can't we go to a newer version than Martinbot, which was your restoration point. The next edit was identified by the ISP but I think it is the newer version, which is not a vandal. Best wishes, --Cyril Thomas 15:08, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

Hi! Mmm I checked the intermediate revisions and I think every one of them contains vandalism, if I missed anything, feel free to revert to whichever version you prefer, I've got no problem with it. Cheers and keep up the good work :-) - Myanw 15:15, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] interwiki links on Alfonso Caycedo

thanks for restoring the interwiki links i accidently deleted on Alfonso Caycedo. not really sure how you got there that fast; i was about to put them back in myself when i saw they were already back.

interestingly (to me), this happened because i was nuking the entire external links section, which was the last section of the article. i clicked on the section edit link, nuked all text (too quickly, it turns out), previewed it, and saved it. didn't know until this moment that categories and interwiki links get appended to the last section of an article, and since i was only editing the section, the preview didn't clue me in that anything was wrong. now i know.

You're welcome. Well, actually, I was there to remove the "thank you" thingy the IP left on the page but you were quicker than me, so I checked the rest of the article, in case someone forgot something, and noticed the accidental removal of the interwiki links. Don't worry about it, it happened to me too the first few times I removed spam (that's why I always check if they're still there when external links are removed). I guess we all learn something new every day :-). Happy editing! - Myanw 19:18, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
