[edit] Synopsis

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

Worried that the Charmed Ones are drifting apart by putting their personal lives before their "Charmed" duties, Chris tries to teach them a lesson by enlisting the help of the demon Gith, who creates an alternate reality for the sisters by tapping into their secret desires. When Piper's desire for a magic-free life with Wyatt, Paige's desire for a "real" magical place and Phoebe's desire for a successful talk show turn deadly, the sister's combine their desires to vanquish Gith. Meanwhile, Leo arranges a hearing with the Elders to strip Chris of his Whitelighter status.

[edit] Trivia

  • The episode title is a play on words to the television series My Three Sons, as well as the phrase three wishes.
  • Out of the three witches, Phoebe was the first one to notice the truth. This is probably due to the fact that she has stronger intuitive powers than her sisters (because of her premonitions & empathy).
  • Another title used to promote this episode by The WB was Fantasies in the Flesh.
  • The place where Paige saves the girl is obviously a redecorated manor's basement - the line that Phoebe drew on the floor in the episode Forget Me...Not is visible.
  • Gith created the sisters worlds from their desires, Although Phoebe had stated later that it was Jasons disires to impress her. That would mean that Phoebe was empathically sensing Jasons desires at the time the world was created, which Gith explained. This might explain why it was so easy for Phoebe's world to clash with Paiges world, and why Chris had enough strength to blend them together.
  • Actor Desmond Askew, who plays the demon Gith, is best known for his role as the querky Brit Simon Baines in the film Go.
  • In this episode it is said that everything in the individual realities are facades (not real), so when Jason was shot in Phoebe's reality he wasn't really shot because it wasn't him. Going on this logic, the Wyatt in Piper's reality wouldn't have been real either, Even though when they all left Pipers world, Wyatt was with them.
  • Although Piper and Paige took the Empath blocking potion, Phoebe was able to sense her sisters in their respective realities. This was probably because, as Paige said, Phoebe used Gith as a conduit to sense Piper.
  • This is (Rose McGowan) Paige's 50th episode.
