[edit] Episode overview

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

Turk convinces J.D. that he needs to go to Tacoma for Kim's first ultra sound which results in an impromptu road trip for the Sacred Heart crew. (The set up for Elliot coming on this road trip yet again shows just how selfish Elliot is. She forces Keith into neglecting his grandmother just so she can go on a one day road trip). After commandeering Dr. Kelso's new RV; Elliot, Carla, Keith, Ted, and the Janitor join the father-to-be on his journey. Meanwhile, Dr. Cox and Jordan face some concern when her ultrasound reveals that their unborn child will need to have surgery. Dr. Cox is upset about this but is overjoyed when Turk (who assisted on the surgery) tells him that his second child is a girl. Kim tells J.D. that she had a miscarriage, and they have a mutual break-up because she was offered a permanent position in Tacoma. The end of the episode shows Kim having an ultrasound, revealing that the miscarriage never happened.

Spoilers end here.
