Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.
When J.D. develops vasovagal syncope, a condition which results in fainting or blackouts, he finds himself not only having to deal with losing his girlfriend and his apartment, but also his consciousness. Elliot and Turk debate over whose turn it is to take care of the always luckless attending, while Carla tries out her new excuse: "I have a baby." Elsewhere, the Janitor embarks on a cruise vacation.
A Croatian doctor named Miloš comes to Sacred Heart, but discovers that he must repeat his residency in the US.

[edit] Trivia
- In this episode J.D. wears the shirt that was designed by the winner of a competition on Threadless. The t-shirt appears in the scene where J.D. is on his half acre when the police arrive.
- In the scene where Turk and Kelso talk about telling the soldier the truth, at first Kelso is wearing a blue tie, then when Kelso is seen again he is wearing his green tie.
- Judy Reyes (Carla) is seen using a cane because she injured her hip. Her injured hip also prevented some dancing sequences in the "My Musical" episode.
- JD's "handsy" behavior after a few drinks was previously seen in "My Best Laid Plans".
- The Todd wears a t-shirt with "www.thetoddtime.com" written on it across the chest. This is a functioning website about Scrubs.[1] Be advised, it shows the Todd dancing in a banana hammock.
- Miloš' surname appears to be Radovicnouizicioiuizcinicizich'l, though according to Miloš he was going to come back and finish later.
- The line that Turk draws on Private Dancer changes from his left to his right during the scene.
- It is revealed in this episode that Colonel Doctor (a regularly seen extra, whose name was revealed through the DVD commentaries, and subsequently through an earlier episode) is the father of the regularly seen delivery guy (Mike Schwartz, who is a writer for the show). Essentially, this is a fan in-joke.
- Although Judy Reyes needed a cane, her character Carla had an excuse for a cane because she hurt her foot in the prior episode, My Road to Nowhere.
