"My Lovin' (You're Never Gonna Get It)" is the first single from musical group En Vogue's second album, Funky Divas. It has been certified gold by the RIAA for shipments of over 500,000 units.
The song appears in the 1995 movie Canaleo and the 2007 Chris Rock movie "I Think I Love My Wife", as well as on the soundtrack to video game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
This song contains a sample of the guitar riff from the James Brown song "The Payback". The guitar sample is looped throughout the entire song and forms the basis of the melody. [1]

"My Lovin'" debuted on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 singles chart at #71, the week of March 21, 1992, and jumped to #47 by the following week. The single glided into the top tier, reaching it's peak of #2 by the week of May 16, 1992, where it remained for three consecutive weeks. "My Lovin'" was one of several top contenders during the summer of 1992 that was held out of the top spot by Kris Kross (#1 for 8 weeks with "Jump"). Nevertheless, the song was one of the most notable and popular songs of the year, remaining in the Top 10 for thirteen weeks, and in the Top 40 for twenty-two weeks.
