My Hero Is Me are a metalcore band based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. They frequently combine elements of metal, southern rock, and jazz into their music and produce an exhilirating live show for which they are known. Every band member replaces their last name with a pseudonym which they are known to their fans as. For example: Darryl Beard Josh Hero Jon Rob Fashion Thug Core Chris Chaos

My Hero Is Me are known for the strange matter they incorporate into their lyrics. They often mock celebrities such as Bob Barker and B.B. King, as represented in the songs The Plot To Kill Bob Barker and B.B. King Feels Your Pain, respectively. They also sing of homocide, relationships gone awry, alcoholism, Greek mythology, and poetry.
