My Glorious Brothers

My Glorious Brothers is a 1948 novel by Howard Fast depicting the Hasmonean revolt against the Greek-Seleucid Empire.
It takes place in the days before the struggle, and during the battles. The heroes of the novel are the Hasmonean in general, and Judas Maccabeus in particular.
Beside the historical facts, Fast added some personal rivalry between the Hasmonean family.
The book, That deals with the jewish independence, was published during the Israeli War of Independence.
